iPod and iPhone fingerprint scanners for law enforcement

US government agencies including Federal Bureau of Investigation are testing Apple’s iPhone and iPod for mobile fingerprint scanning needs. FBI is using a device called FbF mobile one which is then connected with an iPhone or iPod Touch with a cable, allowing the device to be added and removed quickly as needed during routine checks and other law enforcement actions.

Famous Apple designer creating a new kind of Thermostats

Perhaps on of the greatest features of Apple products are their exceptional designs. Now the same designers responsible for such great devices like iPod are spreading the Apple like design philosophy to other areas of industrial design. Tony Fadell which is also known as the “father of iPod” has announced the release of a new product : the Nest Learning Thermostat. His new thermostat will learn from your actions and choices and from inputs from the environment in order to create a highly customized temperature schedule for your home or office. O basically the designing goal Tony Fadell had in mind was to keep your place comfortable and cozy but keep it energy efficient as well.

iPhone 5 rumors: Apple preparing two iPhone versions?

According to some new iPhone rumors, Cupertino California company is preparing same time release of two new models for this fall. Supposedly there will be a normal version and high end pro version. Apparently the source of this new rumor is someone inside Apple’s chain of supplies.

iOS 4.3.2 Untethered jailbreak available soon?

We already have a tethered jailbreak for iPhone4 and iPhone 3GS but will there be a untethered jailbreak available soon? It appears this could be the case. As reported by the jailbreak developers community it seems that Apple failed to patch the exploit found by a German developer i0n1c (real name Stefan Esser). He has just confirmed recently that his exploit which makes the untethered jailbreak possible is not plugged by Apple in the recent iOS update. This means that an untethered jailbreak is possible for iOS devices including iPhone 3GS, iPhone 4, iPod , iPad and Apple TV.

How to enable multitasking gestures on iPhone

If you want to add some nice new features like enabling multitasking gestures but don’t want to modify your iPhone OS you can do it now with a nice little Cydia tweak. This tweak will work on your jailbroken iPhone running iOS version 4.3.1.

To get this tweak jailbreak your iPhone if you havent already and open Cydia. In Cydia search for MtGestures app. This app can be found in ModMyi repository. If you dont know how to add repositories into Cydia you can see the instructions here:
When you install the app tap on Winterboard app and select iPhone3,1_4.3.1_Gestures.
You are done! Reboot your iPhone and enable Multitasking Gestures by going to Settings > General Tab

Pwnage tool 4.2 untethered jailbreak

Ultrasn0w was first launched as an unlock tool for the iPhone with 3.0 iOS firmware.
