If you are following latest news in the jailbreak world you will known that lately there were some issues related to the JailbreakMe.com website. It domain name was sold to an untrustworthy company and jailbreak community has issued warnings about possible malware threats coming from the website. Now the domain name was retaken by the jailbreak community. Moreover the domain is now under control of Jay Freeman aka @Saurik, the founder of Cydia app store and one of the most prominent members of the jailbreak community. So if you need to jailbreak your device and your iPhone or iPad runs on iOS 4.3.3 you can go to JailbreakMe and jailbreak your device without worries about potential threats.
Domain ownership changed, JailbreakMe.com not safe anymore!
Well known jailbreak solution and one of the easiest available out there, JailbreakMe had its domain JailbreakMe.com sold out to an owner which is not really trusted by the jailbreak community and therefore it became not safe for use anymore. Instead of this domain jailbreak developers will from now on use JailbreaksMe.com
This news was announced by MuscleNerd who released these informations to the jailbreak public via his Twitter stream.
Original owner of this famous domain, which was only “borrowed“ to Comex, is an iOS app development company. They have now decided to sell the domain to a not reliable owner making it completely unsuitable for use.
Will Comex change sides?
One of the best and most productive jailbreak developers known as @Comex is apparently being recruited by Apple. Is this an end to JailbreakMe? Nobody knows for sure but what we know at this moment is that Comex will soon join the rank’s Apple as an humble intern. This was announced by Comex himself. His real name is Nicholas Allegra, and he shared this info on his Twitter stream.
Apple to upgrade and block JailbreakMe jailbreak!
Steve Jobs and his team are always fast and agile and this efficiency is mostly very useful and the main reason we all enjoy in Apple’s products, but this time we wont be so happy regarding their this, at least not people who jailbreak their devices. Apple is preparing to close the security hole used by Comex to jailbreak iOS devices like iPad, iPod Touch and and iPhone. Also this exploit has enabled for the first jailbreak for iPad 2 which was previously the only Apple device which couldn’t be jailbroken.
JailberakMe - more than million devices jailbroken!
The new JailbreakMe jailbreak released a couple of days ago has already served more than one million users worldwide said Paul Grant aka chpwn as he is known on Twitter, one of the jailbreak developers which brought the project to successful release. JailbreakMe which first occurrence happened in 2007 is a jailbreak solution which exploits PDF vulnerabilities in iOS for jailbreaking iOS devices. All you need to do to jailbreak is to surf with your Mobile Safari browser to JailbreakMe.com and your device becomes jailbroken in a couple of minutes.

JailbreakMe soon to be updated?
After we wrote yesterday about temporary iPad 2 jailbreak release on JailbreakMer website, today the website changed an now you can see the message: “ We will be back soon! ” note which could perhaps indicate that the website is being updated and refitted possibly due to the upcoming release of the jailbreak for iPad 2.
Interestingly the same sticky note is usually being posted by Apple whenever they take Apple Store down when preparing for a new mayor update. To remind you, yesterday morning someone has published the jailbreak for a short time, and so far it is not clear was this just a mistake or someone purposefully tried to sabotage the new jailbreak, but the jailbreak was working and there were several confirmed successful iPad 2 jailbreaks.
iPad 2 jailbreak coming soon?
Despite often occurring rumors and the fact that it is three months since its initial release, iPad 2 is still proving itself as a too hard nut to crack for the jailbreak developers. One of the reason for this could be the specific architecture of the new processor A5 which Apple is using with the new iPad. Apparently, the Limera1n security hole which enabled successful jailbreak on older iDevices powered by A4 processors couldn’t be modified to jailbreak newer systems running on A5 processors.
