Pwnage tool 4.2 untethered jailbreak
It is always nice to see main jailbreak developers groups to work together. The famous Dev-Team has included the new jailbreak which is originally developed by the Chronic Dev Team into their new version of Pwnage tool 4.2.
This version of Pwnage tool will provide you with an untethered jailbreak for your iPhone, iPod touch or iPad running iOS 4.2.1 or older. It also works on the new Verizon iPhone with firmware 4.2.6.
Unfortunately for many Windows users out there, Pwnage will work only on a Mac computer.
Best thing with Pwnage tool is that it will help all users who need the unlock. With Pwnage tool you can restore to the custom firmware 4.2.1 and still retain the current baseband which can be unlocked. Another advantage is that bugs related to the GreenPois0n jailbreak have been resolved and also the iBooks issue which we wrote recently about is also solved.
The problem with iBooks was that Apple has tried to prevent users with jailbroken iDevices to use their legally purchased DRM books on any jailbroken device.
This anti jailbreak measure was successfully outmanoeuvred byt Dev team developers Pushfix and Comex. Also some reported problems with WIFI functionality on Apple TV 2G have been solved by nitoTV and Saurik. All these fixes have been included with Pwnage 4.2. please bare in mind that you don’t need to jailbreak again as all of this will be available in your Cydia as new patches.

On top of all this it seems, according to some fresh rumours, that the new jailbreak hack is waiting for the release of the upcoming iOS firmware 4.3.
