How to install Installous on iPhone 4S 5.0.1 [jailbreak]

iPhone 4S has only recently been jailbroken for the first time, and we see a sharp rise in the number and availability of different apps, games, tweaks and customizations for this great iOS device. You can jailbreak your iPhone with Absinthe jailbreak from Chronic Dev Team. A new release of RedSn0w should also become available soon, which will work for iOS 5.0.1 and A5 apple devices. After you have successfully jailbroken your device be it iPhone 4S or iPad 2 you can proceed with getting Installous. As you perhaps know, Installous is mostly used for installing unofficially apps, but some people use it for installation of cracked apps. We do certainly do not support nor endorse this practice. App developers are investing some hard work into developing their apps, so please respect this and support people working on your favorite apps. This is easily done if and when you buy their apps in Cydia app store or Apple app store.

However if you for some reason need to install some app, which is not available in the app store, you can use Installous for such purposes. We are offering this only as a informative material and we are not to be held for any misuse by unethical application of these informations.

Read on to learn how to get Installous on your device.

1. Jailbreak your device as Installous is not available for non jailbroken device.

2. After you have done the first step, tap on Cydia to start the app.

3. Go to the Manage option in Cydia. You will see it in the left hand side, at the bottom of the display. Tap Sources.

Touch Edit option visible at the upper right hand side and then tap Add. You will be prompted to add the URL.

Type this URL carefully and without any typo (otherwise it wont work!).

Tap on Add Source to finish this part of the process.

4. Cydia will now quickly update the list of available repositories. After it has finished you’ll need to find Installous in Cydia. Find Installous by simply tapping on Search option in Cydia (bottom of the screen, on the left hand side).Type the name of the app you want to find. In our case this means type Installous.

5. When it finds the app, tap on it. After it displays the app, you’ll have only to choose the Install option. If and when you want to find some otherwise unavailable app, launch Installous by tapping on the icon which will be on located on your SpringBoard. When Installous starts, search for any app you need. All apps you download through Installous can be found in your Downloads. This is also the place where you will be able to install them.

Thats all there is. Quite simple, but please keep in mind: using apps without paying them is not a good idea!
