TinyUmbrella app developed and maintained by NotCom has being updated, and now offers support for saving SHSH blobs for the second instalment of iOS 5.0.1 which was seeded by Apple only few weeks after the iPhone 4S was launched. Next version of RedSn0w will use SHSH blobs for firmware downgrading

Only a couple of days ago, iH8sn0w has released his upgraded iFaith tool. iFaith has enabled iPhone users to save SHSH blobs on their devices, and now the iPhone Dev Team is working on the next instalment of RedSnow which will be able to achieve the same thing.

One of the prominent members of the Dev Team, Musclenerd has announced on his Twitter stream about the RedSn0w upgrade, which will make use of SHSH blobs saved with Cydia or TinyUmbrella on devices runing iOS 5. As you probably know if you are a frequent visitor on this blog, SHSH blobs are of essential importance if you need to downgrade your device for any reason. Downgrading firmware is often useful when it comes to iPhone jailbreaking and unlocking.

In this manner an famous jailbreak developer who is behind TinyUmbrella software has just released his upgrade for TinyUmbrella which is now version in order to provide support for new iOS upgrade 4.3.1 for Apple TV 2G. Currently this is the only change in TinyUmbrella but Notcom is also busy planing complete upgrade of his software tool. He plans to improve his tool in different ways. New TinyUmbrella for iOS 4.2.1 available

The guy behind the famous Tiny Umbrella tool known as Notcom, has announced on the social network Twitter about the upgraded version of the software.

The current version is 4.21.07 and it will enable iPhone, iPad and iPod users to save their shsh on their respective devices. It works for the 4.2.1 firmware version.
In his own words: “Updated 4.21.07. I’ve forgotten iPad in the 4.3b3 list XD. Don’t update unless you have iPad and want 4.3b3 shshs.”

He has also removed some bugs known from the previous versions of the software.
