Siri voice assistant ported to iPhone 3GS

One of the best devices in the world today, if not the best handheld device today is certainly Apple’s latest iPhone model, the mighty iPhone 4S. Smart voice assistant Siri is perhaps the best upgrade Apple has offered ever on their devices. The biggest success in this line of hacking is being now revealed by famous developers Chpwn and Smith Troughton.

Apple porting Siri voice assistant to iPhone 4?

We have heard recently some rumors and reports about Apple’s intentions to add Siri to iPhone 4. Since Apple is recently busilly working on iOS 5.0.1 to solve battery life issues they apparently also want to include in this upgrade Siri to become comaptible with iPhone 4. A source close to Cupertino Company revealed that Apple’s engineers are testing Siri in their other iPhone models. Model which will most probably receive Siri upgrade will be iPhone 4 which has enough hardware capacities for supporting Siri. But we wouldn’t be surprised if it turns out that Apple is also testing other iPhone models. Could this mean that Apple is working on another iOS upgrade?

iPhone 3GS wont be upgraded to iOS 5?

This is what the main editor of this blog said in his Twitter stream: “ iPhone 3GS wont be compatible with the next iOS 5. iPhone 4 will be upgradeable. “

New IMEI based unlock for iPhone 4 and iPhone 3GS?

Apparently something new is going on in the iPhone world. We are hearing from many different sources that some new kind of unlock is now available to iPhone users. It is supposedly a remote based unlock which works through your IMEI ( International Mobile Equipment Identity). IMEI is a number which is unique for your handset and is used by your network carrier to identify your iPhone as a valid device. It can also be used to blacklist the device if it gets stolen.

So far most of these reports have not been confirmed as safe. As you all know there are many fake websites selling ineffective and false unlock solutions and services.

RedSn0w jailbreak for iPhone updated: version 0.9.6 RC12 available now!

Just few days ago we have wrote on our blog that the iPhone Dev Team has released an update to ther RedSn0w jailbreak tool, the version RedSn0w 2.9.6 RC9 , followed quickly by version Redsn0w 0.9.6 RC11 which added an animation option for the boot logo, courtesy of Chronic Dev Team. Dev Team is obviously seariously commmited to providing best and most current options to their software jailbreak and therefore has again upgrade their RedSn0w. You can now download the RedSn0w version 0.9.6 RC12. This upgrade is meant to fix some minor boot animation bugs.

How to jailbreak iPhone 3GS with 4.3.1 firmware version with Pwnage Tool on Mac OS X

1. Make a new folder on the desktop of your Mac computer. Download Pwnage tool version 4.3 from here. Also download the iPhone 3GS 4.3.1 firmware from here. You should download the firmware file with Firefox browser as some other browsers like Safari usually rename the file deeming it unusable for restoring.

2. Click twice on the PwnageTool file to extract it and move it to your new desktop folder. Click on the Pwnage tool to fire up the software tool.

Unlock iPhone 3GS with UltraSn0w Fixer for UltraSn0w

As we wrote previously and you all know Apple has seeded their new iOS upgrade 4.3.1. This upgrade was meant to prevent jailbreak and unlock for iPhones and iPads but luckily jailbreak developers are working hard to provide jailbreak and unlock solutions for all iPhone users out there.
