Tethered jailbreak for iPhone 3GS, iPhone 4 and iPad [iOS 5.1.1]

untethered jailbreak for iPhone 4, iPhone 3GS and iPad on iOS 5.1.1

Here is the tethered jailbreak for all A4 based iOS devices, we have been waiting for so long! We wrote earlier that the jailbreak is in the final phase and luckily for us and many other iPhone and iPad users, we now have a tethered jailbreak, courtesy of the iPhone Dev Team.

RedSn0w  0.9.11 beta4 is based on the previous jailbreak for 5.1. firmware and ads some new options like stitching the blobs and making custom firmware version. This is especially important as it allows users to upgrade without the baseband update. This is of critical importance for all unlockers: if you upgrade the baseband you could loose the carrier unlock, perhaps forever.

New iPad Text editor jailbreak tweak

Apple iPad

Here is a new interesting concept for all iPad users. Ever get tired from cumbersome text writing tasks on your favorite tablet? Yes we had too. So as always, the jailbreak community is working on providing a better solution. An a jailbreak dev, Kyle Howells has presented such a better solution when it comes to typing on iPad. Here is a demo of this jailbreak tweak, showing a way to edit the typed text with one finger sweeps, a faster two finger style editing and even text selection where you need to hold the shift before you sweep with your finger. Just what was earlier discussed in jailbreak circles. Here is a new concept which will probably released soon in some jailbreak tweak. Or perhaps it will be used in the next iOS version? We wouldn’t be surprised if Apple incorporates this tweak into the official version of iOS, sooner or later.

iPad and Windows 8 tablet, comparing features

Win 8 vs iPad

Which is better? We’ll we all know which company makes the best gadgets including smartphones and tablets. But still it seems that Microsoft is pretty serious with their Windows 8 OS. How good will it work in real life and will it be able to compete with iPad iOS tablets? Honestly thats hard to say at least for now. But Apple should definitely stay focused as what we can see here was quite impressive! While both devices have a number of similar options and features, experienced users will definitely understand the fine difference in UI. The concept behind the interactive user interface comes from a different philosophy and a particular world view, perhaps in the same vein we saw with differences between Mac and Windows PC in earlier times.
