Gmail app for iOS had its up and downs during the last month. After it was released for the first time it was quickly removed from the app store because of some serious bugs, but not before it was heavily criticized by users which have already downloaded the app. But Google is obviously determined to improve Gmail for iOS. So the app has just been upgraded and new features were introduced for the first time. Now you can enjoy Scribbles and make your emails fancy with some nice handmade drawings.

Apple seeding iOS 5.1 beta 2, for developers only

 

Apple has seeded the next instalment of iOS 5.1, version beta 2. As always, at this stage it is available for testing purposes only and the access is granted only to certified Apple developers. Among other features, this version has now an option which helps iOS users to remove photos captured on your iPhon, iPad or iPod Touch from the Photo Stream.

If you take some photo which needs to be removed for any reason, it can now be easily deleted from your Photo Stream. This means that it wont be shared through the iCloud to your other devices running iOS 5.1. Still, photos captured earlier will have to be removed manually from your connected iOS 5.1 devices.

iFaith for downgrading your iOS version back to iOS 5.0

While we are still waiting for a promised untethered jailbreak for iOS 5 which could be released in the near future as @MuslceNerd and @Pod2g have recently announced, you should be aware of the fact that the jailbreak will work only for iOS 5.0. This means that if you have already upgraded to iOS 5.0.1 you’ll be out of lack as this jailbreak is iOS 5.0.compatible only.

With older iOS firmware versions, you could always go back to iOS 4.0, but after Apple released iOS 5.0, they have redesigned the process, and now if you have gone to iOS 5.0.1 you wont be able to simply restore back to iOS 5.0. But as always, if you cant beat them, you certainly can always jailbreak them!
