Utrasn0w 1.2.5 carrier unlock updated, minor bugs removed

Most of our readers do know that UltraSn0w is quite an important Cydia app, especially so for people desperately needing an iPhone carrier unlock. After this they have also upgraded UltraSn0w so it’s now compatible with this new version of iOS. The latest version of UltraSn0w is now version 1.2.2. If you have been waiting to unlock your iPhone now is the time to use this software unlock. For this unlock to work you need to have the baseband preserved, so be advised not to upgrade with the official firmware through iTunes if you care about the carrier unlock!

As we wrote previously the famous iPhone hacker iH8sn0w has announced the upgraded beta 4 version of his jailbreak tool Sn0wBreeze 2.3 which can jailbreak various iOs devices including: iPhone 4 (AT&T) and 3GS, iPod Touch and the original iPad which are running the iOS 4.3 version. If you care about the iPhone unlock with the UltraSn0w tool you will be glad to hear that Sn0wbreeze will preserve your baseband (unlike other jailbreaks like RedSn0w) so you will be still able to unlock your iPhone.

Sn0Wbreeze 2.3 Beta 4 version, is the official jailbreak for iPhone on iOS 4.3 coming soon?

iPhone 4 unlock not working yet with the UltraSn0w on iOS 4.2.1 and 4.3

Two months ago there were some reports that the Dev team will release an unlock for the iPhone 4 following the release of the 4.3 iOS for iPhone, iPod Touch and iPad. They thought that they will release it in fact a week or two after the 4.3 upgrade from Apple. So if you have focused your hope for the unlock only on this rumor we will have to disappoint you at this moment. The most recent version of the unlocking tool, the UltraSn0w unlock version 1.3 wont work for the iOS 4.3 on your iPhone nor will it work if you have an iPhone 4 with the 4.2.1 if the iPhone baseband version is 02.10.04 or 3.10.01.
