Utrasn0w 1.2.5 carrier unlock updated, minor bugs removed

Most of our readers do know that UltraSn0w is quite an important Cydia app, especially so for people desperately needing an iPhone carrier unlock. We are sure many readers of our blog will be happy to hear that iPhone Dev team has just released the latest upgrade to their famous unlocking tool UltraSn0w. This upgrade removes a bug for iPhone 3GS with old bootrom.

Next version of RedSn0w will use SHSH blobs for firmware downgrading

Only a couple of days ago, iH8sn0w has released his upgraded iFaith tool. iFaith has enabled iPhone users to save SHSH blobs on their devices, and now the iPhone Dev Team is working on the next instalment of RedSnow which will be able to achieve the same thing.

One of the prominent members of the Dev Team, Musclenerd has announced on his Twitter stream about the RedSn0w upgrade, which will make use of SHSH blobs saved with Cydia or TinyUmbrella on devices runing iOS 5. As you probably know if you are a frequent visitor on this blog, SHSH blobs are of essential importance if you need to downgrade your device for any reason. Downgrading firmware is often useful when it comes to iPhone jailbreaking and unlocking.

How to jailbreak iOS 5.0.1 on your iPhone or iPad with RedSn0w

iOS 5.0.1 is the latest iOS upgrade released by Apple, and it can now be easily and safely jailbroken with RedSn0w jailbreak tool. We have tested this solution for ourself and we can vouch for it: it works and even more, it works magnificently! The only draw back is that at this point the jailbreak is untethered only, and you’ll know what it means if you are a frequent reader of this blog. Apple has just released the so called “gold master” edition of iOS 5 beta. This means that this is almost the latest testing version of iOS 5 before it gets released to the public. The final version of iOS 5 should be available to iPhone and iPad users on October 12th if everything goes smoothly and no mayor issue or bug is being discovered. If you are by chance a licensed iPhone developer you can download this iOS firmware from Apple’s website right now. IOS 5 is compatible with iPhone 3GS, iPhone 4 bot iPad versions, and iPod Touch 3G and 4G.

iPhone Dev team releases RedSn0w update

As we are nearing the date of iPhone 5 release, iPhone jailbreak devs are busy preparing a jailbreak for the upcoming iOS 5. Their goal is obviously to be ready whenever iOS 5 becomes officially available for downloading. Also like in previous cases, they are always trying to upgrade and improve any and all possible angles of the jailbreaking process. This is one of the main goals of this new RedSn0w upgrade: to make it easier and smoother for anyone to jailbreak. And indeed Redsn0w 0.9.9b1 is introducing many new features. RedSn0w jailbreak to undergo a mayor upgrade

Dev Team is preparing a significant upgrade for RedSn0w jailbreaking tool. MuslceNerd who often speaks for iPhone Dev Team said that one of the new features will be that users wont need to manually select the iOS firmware file, another great feature will be the possibility to easily save the always important SHSH blobs with Cydia. New RedSn0w should be seeded before next Monday.

RedSn0w will be able to automatically get the requested files from Apple’s servers, and even better, it will store necessary files on your computer so you wont need to download it every time you need them. This doesn’t include iOS beta version as you will need to get them manually.

RedSn0w upgraded,Dev Team’s jailbreak now works on iOS 5 beta 7

iPhone Dev Team has again made our day! This time they have released an upgraded version of RedSn0w, one of the best jailbreaking apps available today which is able to easily jailbreak Apple’s latest version of iOS 5 b7. Apple is working at full speed and only a couple of days ago they have seeded iOS 5 beta 6 and now they have again upgraded iOS 5 in order to prepare everything for the final launch which should be this month.

Advice from jailbreak developers: do not upgrade the firmware to 4.3.5!

Apple has just released its latest iOS upgrade to firmware 4.3.5 which came as a surprise to iPhone and iPad users as much as to jailbreak developers. This update wont be followed by an untethered jailbreak as Apple could repeat the upgrading efforts soon again. SO instead all users wanting an untethered and stable jailbreak should do well if they don’t accept this firmware upgrade.

Dev Team strikes back with jailbreak for iOS 4.3.4

Most famous jailbreak group, the iPhone Dev Team has again succeed in jailbreaking latest Apple’s upgrade to iOS 4.3.4. The jailbreak tool for this iOS version is RedSn0w version 09 8 beta 3. Unfortunately the jailbreak is a this moment only tethered which means that you will have to boot your device up with Redsn0w after every rebooting you do. The only exception for this is iPad 2.
