As a quick antidote, Cupertino has seeded iOS 5.0.1 which should have cleared out this problem. But after only a day or two it became clear that Apple still didn’t squash this bug. So Apple’s problems are continuing and they have now released the beta version of iOS 5.1 to certified Apple developers, which offered a number of new solutions which should prevent the fast battery drain. Unfortunately, it seems that the whole embarrassing situation is repeating itself.
