iPhone 5 rumors: Apple preparing two iPhone versions?
According to some new iPhone rumors, Cupertino California company is preparing same time release of two new models for this fall. Supposedly there will be a normal version and high end pro version. Apparently the source of this new rumor is someone inside Apple’s chain of supplies.
Because of strict Non Disclosure Agreements signed by all personnel with access to sensitive details nothing more was revealed by the source. But the source believes that two models will be released simultaneously. It seems that Apple is at the same time purchasing the usual quality hardware and the best hardware available currently. It could easily mean only that Apple is comparing and testing the different components to determine their quality before the device gets into mass production. It could also meant that they have more than one prototype, of which some are above or below the usual quality level. OR simply they are just purchasing hardware for a new line of iPods which are usually released during the fall., which is in the same timeframe as the release of the upcoming iPhone 5.
So far there was only one model of iPhone 4. Could it be that Apple wants to release two models of iPhones at the same time? What could be the marketing idea behind this? What are your thoughts on this?
