Jailbreak and unlock for 4.3.3 available with upgraded PwnageTools!
It seems that the developer community is working hard to follow all new upgrades to iOS by Apple. Now again, almost immediately after Apple upgraded the iOS, iPhone Dev team has released an upgraded version of PwnageTool for jailbreaking the latest iOS release. Pwnage tool is a jailrbeak tool for Mac computers only. Same as earlier versions of the famous tool, it offers an untethered jailbreak tool for all iPhone users and other iDevices.
Here is a list of all supported devices:
iPhone 3GS
iPhone 4
original iPad
iPod Touch 3 G
iPod Touch 4 G.
This version of PwnageTool is again making use of the untethered exploit which was originally developed and provided by German developer Stefan Esser. Again this tool will preserve the baseband which is very important for iPhone users who want to unlock their devices for use on unsupported network carriers. If you preserve the baseband you will be able to use UltraSn0w unlock solution.
It seems that Apple is in a rush to eliminate the location tracking bug which was a nightmare from a PR standpoint for the Cupertino, California company. Probably because of this, their engineers didn’t had time to close the jailbreak patch which was left open for jailbreak in previous iOS releases.
Also a good news is that following upgrade to PwnageTool, UltraSn0w which is used for unlocking iPhones is also upgraded to be compatible for unlocking iPhones running iOS 4.3.3 with preserved baseband versions.
Here are baseband versions which can be unlocked with UltraSn0w:
- iPhone 3g and 3GS 4.26.08, 05.13.04, 05.11.07, 05.12.01 (and iPhones upgraded to iPad baseband 06
.15.00)
- iPhone 4 with baseband 01.59.00

First download PwnageTool and the iOS 4.3.3 file for iPhone 3GS and iPhone 4.
Download latest version of PwnageTool here.
After you have successfully jailbroken your device you can follow up with the UltraSn0w unlock if necessary. You can download and install UltraSn0w on your iPhone with Cydia.
