How to unlock your iPhone on iOS 4.3.2 via Ultrasn0w (Mac only)
We wrote recently about iPhone Dev Team releasing upgraded PwnageTool for jailbreaking the latest iOS 4.3.2. After this they have also upgraded UltraSn0w so it’s now compatible with this new version of iOS. The latest version of UltraSn0w is now version 1.2.2. If you have been waiting to unlock your iPhone now is the time to use this software unlock. For this unlock to work you need to have the baseband preserved, so be advised not to upgrade with the official firmware through iTunes if you care about the carrier unlock!
Here are simple instructions for unlocking your device with Ultrasn0w 1.2.2.
Please note: this will only work for iPhone (AT&T) with older baseband versions including: 01. 59. 00 , 04. 26. 08, 05. 11. 07, 05. 12. 01 , 05. 13. 04 and 06. 15. 00.
Download these files:
- Ultrasn0w (Cydia download).
- PwnageTool (iPhone jailbreaking tool for Mac computers).
To find out do you have a compatible baseband Tap Settings > Tap General > Tap About > Scroll down to Modem Firmware.

iPhone carrier unlock with Ultrasn0w
Open Cydia which will appear after you jailbreak. Add repository which has Ultrasn0w available for download. To do this in Cydia tap on Manage and follow by tapping on Sources. Tap on the Edit option and then type the URL of the repository. Be careful not to make any typing mistakes when doing this, because if you make even one mistake your iPhone wont be able to install Ultrasn0w. This is the proper URL: http://repo666.ultrasn0w.com
When you have finished this just type Ultrasn0w in the Cydia search tab. When Ultrasn0w appears simply tap to install it and then restart your iPhone. If you have carefully followed our instructions your iPhone will be unlocked. You can test this by inserting another sim card into your iPhone.Congratulation you can now travel abroad and use any local sim card instead of paying exorbitant prices for international roaming. Enjoy!
