Sn0wBreeze 2.8 to jailbreak iOS 5 b2

Sn0wbreeze 2.8 jailbreak for iOS 5

Famous jailbreak developer @iH8Sn0w has just updated Sn0wBreeze jailbreak to support jailbreaking of the latest iOS 5 beta version 2. This are good news to read we believe as it seems that jailbreak devs are working hard to keep up with the latest developments introduced by Apple with the iOS 5. Sn0wBreeze was updated and seeded as version 2.8 beta-3.

Here are some features of the upgraded jailbreak:

  1. Works with iOS 5 beta version 2.
  2. Not for average users - released for developers use.
  3. Will not activate the iPhone.
  4. Tethered jailbreak.
  5. Untethered jailbreak only for iPhone 3GS with old bootroom.

Here is a list of iOS devices which can be jailbroken:

  • iPhone 3GS
  • iPhone 4 (GSM and CDMA)
  • iPod Touch 4
  • iPod Touch 3G
  • original iPad

Sn0wBreeze works only for Windows computers and it works similar as Mac only Pwnage Tool by iPhone Dev Team. It will not upgrade your iPhone’s baseband version. If you need to unlock your device do not upgrade to iOS 5 as UltraSn0w unlock solution isn’t yet available for iOS 5. If you have an Mac computer you can jailbreak iOS 5 with RedSn0w.
