Jailbreak iPhone on iOS 4.3 with Sn0wbreeze 2.3b1 jailbreak tool for Windows
We are very glad to announce the first jailbreak for the new iOS 4.3 firmware. It was developed by famous developer known as iH8sn0w. This jailbreak is still a beta version due to some issues. We hope an official jailbreak will be available quite soon.
This new Sn0wbreeze version 2.3b1 works on Windows PC and enables users to jailbreak their devices running on the new iOS 4.3 firmware version. This software tool will work with iPhone 3GS, iPhone 4 iPod Touch and the original iPad. Same as Pwnage tool which works only on Mac, this jailbreak is tethered. Basically this means that whenever you reboot your iPhone you need to boot it with your computer. Please note: there is no carrier unlock for the iOS 4.3 at this moment so if you care about the carrier unlock please don’t upgrade to iOS 4.3.
How to create custom 4.3 firmware with your Windows computer
1.Please download all necessary files to your computer.
You will need:
iTunes 10.2.1
Sn0wbreeze 2.3 b1 download it from here
Apple iOS 4.3 firmware for iPhone 3GS or iPhone 4 :
iPhone 3GS (GSM) : iPhone2,1_4.3_8F190_Restore.ipsw
iPhone 4 (GSM) : iPhone3,1_4.3_8F190_Restore.ipsw
2. Fire up Sn0wbreeze and in the first window cllick on the blue arrow to go to next step.
3. Click on Browse to choose previously downloaded iPSW file for your iPhone.
4. Wait while Sn0wbreeze identifies the IPSW file. When it is done choose the arrow again to go to the next step.
5. Please choose the expert mode when prompted with this option and click on the Build iPSW button to start making the custom 4.3 firmware. If you need the carrier unlock you will want to choose the Baseband Preservation Mode option instead.
Sn0wbreeze will need some time to build the custom firmware and therefore it prompts you to play Pac-man while it builds it.
6. When the custom firmware is created you will see a notification windows where it says it is done.
7. Please follow the instructions for entering into DFU mode.
To get into DFU mode press and hold both Power and Home buttons for about 10 seconds. Release Power but keep the Home button again for 10 seconds. Your iPhone is now in DFU mode if you have done it properly.
If everything is OK you should now see a new message from the Sn0wbreeze tool.
How to restore to the custom made 4.3 firmware with iTunes
8. Fire up iTunes on your Windows PC and choose your iPhone icon on the left side in iTunes. Click and hold the left Shift on your keyboard and choose Restore option in iTunes and then release the Shift button. Itunes will now search for the custom firmware. Select the previously made custom firmware and choose Open.
9. Wait until iTunes does the Restore. It will install the iOS 4.3 on your iPhone. After the process is finished you will have an jailbroken iPhone4.
How to boot tethered
Whenever you reboot your device you will have to boot it with your computer, You will need to use iBooty which is already downloaded with the Sn0wbreeze zip file.
10. Start iBooty, and select your iPhone from the menu.
11. Press the Start option and follow instructions to enter DFU mode again
12. When your iPhone is in DFU iBooty will do the rest and your iPhone will boot in jailbroken state.
