iPhone 3GS wont be upgraded to iOS 5?

As the the WWDC comes closer we hear more and more rumors, This time a well known and reputable mobile phone blog in Russia has caused a new wave of rumors. They have said that they have inside confirmation that iPhone 3GS wont be eligible for the next iOS 5. This is what the main editor of this blog said in his Twitter stream: “ iPhone 3GS wont be compatible with the next iOS 5. iPhone 4 will be upgradeable. “

If this rumor turns out to be true the iOS 5 which should be launched on the next Worldwide Developers Conference on June 6th wont be available for not so old iPhone model, the iPhone 3GS. This will come as a huge disappointment for millions of users worldwide which are still comfortable with their devices. It seems that huge new features and capabilities of the upcoming iOS 5 demand better hardware than what is available with the current iPhone 3GS.

So far this Russian blog has published only reliable informations as it seems that they have some good inside sources within the smartphone industry. But as always all such rumors shouldn’t have been taken too seriously as only informations released by Apple can be fully trusted.
