OnLive app adds Microsoft’s Windows 7 on your iPad

OnLive Desktop

OnLine is a service mostly known in the gaming community, but it has now launched a really interesting app and service which offers Windows 7 for iPad owners. With OnLive Desktop app you can try out Microsoft’s best Windows OS nowadays, directly on your iOS tablet device. This app works only within the cloud without any intermediary Vnc apps necessary.

This is certainly something new, and will probably considered as a kind of heresy by hardcore iOS fans. Why at all use Windows 7 on your device, when the whole point of using Apple products is better overall experience, than what is usually the case with Windows based PC’s? The answer is simple: there are some specific apps and services which will only work within the Microsoft environment. And if business or pleasure is at stake, compromises have to be made. OnLine Desktop will offers a stable, Microsoft environment with complete suit of MS Office applications. On the top of it you will get 2GB of free storage space in the cloud. Imagine that: Microsoft Word, Power Point and all other standard goodies from Microsoft, straight on your iPad. We think this is a great offer!

This will be probably most tempting for iPad users which aren’t Mac fans, but rather average Windows PC users. Having all their usual tools on their new iPad’s is an excellent option, and one which will many users probably make good use of. The app will be launched in App Store on Thursday, but it will become available only for iPad users in USA. Basic version of the app will be available as a free download. Advanced users will have the option to upgrade their service with different monthly packages. Complete service with 50Gb of storage in the cloud will be available for a monthly fee of $9.99. Would you consider to try this service out? If you do get it on Thursday, let us known your opinion on it, in the comments section bellow!
