Apple to upgrade and block JailbreakMe jailbreak!

Steve Jobs and his team are always fast and agile and this efficiency is mostly very useful and the main reason we all enjoy in Apple’s products, but this time we wont be so happy regarding their this, at least not people who jailbreak their devices. Apple is preparing to close the security hole used by Comex to jailbreak iOS devices like iPad, iPod Touch and and iPhone. Also this exploit has enabled for the first jailbreak for iPad 2 which was previously the only Apple device which couldn’t be jailbroken.

Apple’s representatives have publicly stated yesterday that Apple is aware of the JailbreakMe jailbreak hack and that they are doing everything possible to block this exploit, and that this will be done in the near future with the next firmware upgrade. No specific dates on the iOS update have being revealed.

We also heard that relevant government agencies in Germany have warned users that this exploit could be used to infect iOS devices with malicious software without prior detection. If you have jailbroken your device with JailbreakMe Comex has provided a security patch which should prevent malicious attacks. The patch is named PDF patcher two and it you can easily download and install it within Cydia.

If you decide to jailbreak with JailbreakMe it is advisable to save SHSH blobs as this will enable you to downgrade your device if you ever choose to upgrade it.
