Apple seeds iOS 4.3.5 (GSM) and iOS 4.2.1 (CDMA)

After recently releasing iOS 45.3..4 in a hurry to patch up the JailbreakMe hack, Apple has again released a quick upgrade for all iDevices on GSM and CDMA networks. The aim of this update is to fix certain security vulnerabilities as well as issues appearing with specific certificate validations. Apparently Apple’s engineers have find out that a malicious attacker with network privileges can gain or change data while in SSL sessions. The problems comes while handling the so called X. 509 certifications.

This iOS upgrade comes only week after Apple has released the iOS 4.3.4 and show how hastily the iOS 4.3.4 release was. Wouldn’t it be better if they waited until all existing issues were resolved before upgrading?

To upgrade your device just fire up iTunes and check for the latest updates. If you have a jailbreak and an carrier unlock, you should stay away from the upgrade. At least until we have a stable jailbreak and unlock solution for this “new” iOS version.
