iPad 2 on iOS 5.1 jailbroken!

It didn’t take too long! We are quite glad to report that iPad 2 running on iO 5.1 has being officially jailbroken, courtesy of @I0n1c! He has offered as a proof of his successful jailbreak, a number of images which clearly show an iPad 2 with Cydia app and the iOS 5.1 sign on the bottom of screen. Although I0n1c hasn’t yet offered more informations regarding his jailbreak approach, we sure hope that it will work on other A5 based Apple devices, most importantly on iPhone 4S. So far, @I0n1c hasn’t said anything about this issue.

If this jailbreak is based on the operative system layer (iOS in this case), it could mean that it will work perhaps even on new iPad 3 tablet! Stay tuned as we inform you about this and all other iOS jailbreaks!
