Pool Party - a new iPhone app for sharing images by Google
Google just launched it latest product stright inot the iOS market. This product was designed by people previously working for Slide, a small startup recently bought by Google. At the time being it is per invitation as it is still in testing phase. With this app you can share your photos with your circle of friends which use this app. It is not clear why exactly Google is offering multiple image sharing platforms, as Picasa and Google + are already doing the same thing. Perhaps Google releases several projects at the same time so users can choose the best one, in a kind of evolutionary struggle between apps?
Apple working on iPhone Nano?
We all know Apple is working on a new iPhone model. Instead of launching the new model on WWDC earlier this month Apple has postponed its release for the fall, so the new iPhone should be available at the same time as the iOS 5 becomes officially released. The big question is: what kind of new iPhone will we see? Will it be something completely new as iPhone 5? Or just enhanced iPhone 4S?
Apple will prevent SHSH based iOS downgrades?
iPhone Dev Team is worried that Apple is trying to develop a way to prevent iOS firmware downgrading by using SHSH blobs. SHSH blobs are saved on Cydia servers if you chose to do so when you jailbreak your device. Alternatively you can use TinyUmbrella or some similar tool to save SHSH blobs. You can read more on how and why to save SHSH blobs in our blog archive. Developers from iPhone Dev Team think that this is connected with the new over the air upgrades changes in iOS, but this isn’t something cheerful for iPhone jailbreak users.
iOS 5 introduces wireless firmware upgrade for iPhone
Apple has for long time planed to upgrade it’s iOS devices to be PC free. Finally it seems that they have made a significant step in this direction with the new iOS 5. According to some developers which have discovered this through the iOS 5 Software Development Kit (SDK), iOS 5 is meant to offer wireless iOS upgrades through 3G connections. But not everything is completely clear regarding this feature. It seems that not all kind of upgrades will be able through 3G networks. Most likely, smaller firmware upgrades will be available through 3G connections while mayor ones will probably need to be downloaded through your Wi-fi connection.
iOS 5 beta 2 for iPhone and iPad launched
Apple has now seeded the second testing version of the next iOS 5 firmware for their devices. At this moment it is available for developers only unless you are willing to find some other way to download it.
This is the first upgrade of iOS 5 after it was officially unveiled at Apples annually held WWDC some twenty days ago. As always, Apple’s engineers have ironed out some early discovered bugs but there is also something new: much sought after, wireless syncing finally becomes available as a part of iOS. Of course at this stage, this feature will be only available for users with Mac computers and only those with latest OS X versions. You will also have to upgrade your iTunes to 10.5 beta if you want to test out wireless syncing.

New iPhone game: Plan battle
Have you ever played battle ships sinking with your school friends instead of doing homework or some other boring choirs? If the answer is yes here is another simple app which are available in iTunes app store.
Plane Battle is actually an iOS version of the famous, ages old game you played long time ago with only paper and pencil. The first level actually looks the same: you will see a piece of paper and a pencil and you will use it as a weapon of destruction. The pen is indeed stronger than a sword, at least in this game!

Google against Apple, Map apps
Google is again busy, this time they are trying to prevent Apple from getting too much from mapp apps. In a new effort Google has updated its HTML 5 Maps app for iOS and Android. We already know that iOS has built in mapp app which also uses Google powered maps as its source, but it appears that Apple isn’t upgrading their mapp app too eagerly. So it seems that in order to prevent this, Google is doing similar to what they have done with their other services Gmail and Youtube, they have decide to build and launch their own version of the iOS app.
So when you decide to go to the maps.google.com on your iPhone or iPad you can use almost the same features available on your desktop computer.
iOS games: Frisbee Forever
Here is a new game from Kiloo which is compatible with iPhone, iPad and iPod Touch. This is a cool free game and one of the most addicting out there. In the game you throw a frisbee and guide it through a line of hoops all the time trying to gather star like points. Points gathered will enable you to unlock different useful items and also to entry new worlds to play in. You can get stars much faster with in app purchases if you are in a hurry. The game is not so much a racing game as it is some kind of 3D flying game ( think star wars and similar). It also reminds somehow on parts of Super Mario game on Nintendo 64 where you fly around some levels and gather stars in a similar looking game play. Speed of the game is quite hectic so you’ll have to use all your skills to master the game. You guide your frisbee by tilting your iPhone or iPad or by touching controls on the screen.
