Apple working on a small iPad: iPad Mini

iPad mini with 7 inch screen

Competition and occasional clashes between Samsung and Apple apparently are a never ending process. So far it has led to a number of legal and commercial standoffs in a number of countries around the globe. Now there is another strategy, this time employed by Samsung. According to some sources, Samsung has “leaked” a document which reveals Apple’s planes on a new, smaller screen tablet tablet named iPad Mini. iPad Mini features a 7 inch display and could be launched soon.

The document appeared supposedly in one of Samsung controlled banks. It was leaked by some anonymous official from this bank. Apple has being fabulously successful with its previous iPad models, and iPad 3 should be soon launched on the market. Apple’s goal is to sell more than 100 million tablets worldwide during 2012. Additionally we have heard about rumors on Apples plans on using flexible panels in the new iPad. So far the production price of these new flexible panels is to high, and its use for new iPad models could increase the price of iPad, which probably isn’t something we should except. One of the barrier for such action is certainly the constant influx of different cheap Android tablets on the market.
