Facebook releases their official iPad app!

After many rumors, preparations and lot of tweaking Facebook has finally released their official iPad app. It looks to us that this it will retain the look and feel of the iPhone app. But what is most interesting is that the app is highly customized for tablets large touchscreen and that it offers chat and Facebook games on the iPad for the first time. It took Mark Zuckerberg and his team of engineers and designers almost a year to release their iPad app. So why did they need a full year to develop an app? Is there something more to this story, something which Facebook doesn’t want to reveal right now?

Anyway here are some of the features of Facebook for iPad:

• Large scale photos – your images will look differently when they are visible in full screen size. Your become large, high definition and easy to navigate. Just like a real album.
• Attention to important elements – Less content is visible on the display, thus making it easier to follow more important data flow like friends updates, photos and chat messages.
• Improved navigation – navigate to any option with only a tap, swipe or pinch.
• Improved gaming – it becomes easier (and more fun) than ever to play Facebook games.
• Send messages instantly – an intuitive drop down menu appears after a simple finger tap making it easier to communicate with your Facebook friends.
