Samsung counter attack: Apple to turn over source code for iPhone 4S

iPhone 4

South Korean consumer electronics has just announced its demands to Apple to publish iPhone 4S source code and also Apple’s agreements with large Australian telecommunications companies. It seems that Samsungs lawyers intend to claim that Apple has breached a number of Samsung patents in the area of wireless technology.

Samsung legal counselor, Cynthia Cochrain said that Samsung needs the above mentioned source code and the contracts between Cupertino company and most influential Australian telecommunication companies to take further legal steps in their case against Apple.

Samsung is also keen to expose subsidies Australian companies pay to Apple for getting iPhone on their networks. Apple’s legal team immediately responded that Samsung has made those disputable patents available for use under the FRAND terms. FRAND stands is an abbreviation for Fair Reasonable And Non Discriminatory. So the battle of the giants continues. We sure hope this wont interfere with Apple’s real mission: creating revolutionary new devices, apps and services!
