Apple researching remote 3D gestures for iOS devices

Apple 3D gesture pattent

It seems that Apple is continuing their restless run for new techno wonders for their superb iOS devices. Now they investigate concepts which are light years ahead of their competition. According to this news they are exploring a completely new field: hands free remote controlling for iOS devices. This could easily become a new game changer and was revealed thanks to a patent application by Cupertino, California company.

US Patent Office has revealed a patent request which was originally submitted by Apple during the previous year and which describes users doing video editing through both touch and non touch gestures. Perhaps Apples intentions with this concept could be better understood because of design requests for this to work. First they need to lessen or entirely remove unwanted camera movements so you can easily connect the iPhone camera through bluetooth or Wi-fi to your iPad where you can do real time video editing and second you can need to use remote gestures to manipulate with the live video stream on the iPad.

This certainly looks like an innovative approach in an area which is currently not developed enough. iPhone for example isn’t a platform which could be used effectively for video editing mostly due to its small screen size and too much portability. But if not done properly this new technology could easily failed if not designed properly, which is hardly an issue for Apple as the company is best known by their fabulous product designs. This will probably be another unique Apple technology, a new step forward in the realm of iOS computing which Android wont be able to reproduce as usually. Do you agree?
