Unlock Jailbreak for FW 4.2.1 GreenPois0n Released!!!

Finally we have fantastic news for all iPhone and iPad lovers and addicts out there! After a month we have finally received the untethered jailbreak. We had already for about a month the Redsn0w tool at our disposal, which was quite helpful for those who by necessity had to jailbreak with it, but the tethered booting was less than prefect for most of the users.

Again mighty giant Apple is outsmarted and its secrets have been revealed by the experts from the Chronic Dev-team. Their GreenPois0n software tool is now able to break into the iPhone IPSW and enable a nice tethered jailbreak.

If you are on 4.2.1 firmware with iPhone 3G, 3GS or the new iPhone 4 you can now perform a untethered jailbreak.

Here is how should you jailbreak with the GreenPois0n:

Note: at this time GreenPois0n works only with the newest 4.2.1 firmware so first of all make sure that you indeed are on the 4.2.1 iOS firmware. To check this tap the Settings button, then tap General and tap About. Go to the bottom of the screen to see the “Version”.

Download the needed Greenpois0n file and then install it.

Plug your iPhone to your desktop computer. Start GreenPois0n and choose the Jailbreak option.

When you tap Jailbreak, you must put your iPhone into DFU mode. If you fail at this step it wont work! So again here is how should you do this: press the sleep button on your iPhone for at least three seconds, then press the home button while not releasing the sleep button for ten seconds, finally move your finger from the sleep button but still keep the pressure on the home button (again ten seconds).

If you can see only a black screen on your iPhone, it has correctly entered DFU mode.

Now wait until GreenPois0n does its trick. When the jailbreak is done it will slightly modify the iOS and you will see a new icon on your springboard. Now you only need to restart your iPhone and you are good to go. Your iPhone is jailbroken and you can finally install some superb Cydia app’s.

    That means that if i jb my ip4 4.2.1 with greenpoison i wont be able to unlock it?

      Check the message above: depends on your current baseband, what is your current baseband version?
