UPS releases updated version of UPS iPhone application

UPS Mobile app for iPhone users has just being updated with a new options like package scanning, new icons and other new features. UPS mobile is an app which enables users to manage their shipments while they are travelling and wit no access to their computers. It will help you to track your shipments, create different shipment labels, find nearby UPS locations and even inform you about possible shipment costs and package delivery timing. Most importantly you will track your shipments much easier. With this updated version of UPS Mobile, you’ll get two new ways for adding your tracking number.

With Scan to track option, which is available on iPad 2 and all iPhone models except iPhone 3G, you can simply use the barcode scanner function which comes integrated with the app. Barcode scanner will enable you to get the tracking number from your shipping label, or from your info notice. The second method, Auto Detect, will search for tracking number in the clipboard of your device. After the number is located you only need to copy it and you are done!
