Use Siri to start your car

Siri voice help assistance

Could you imagine only a couple of days ago that you could start your car with Siri and your iPhone? It is hard to believe how fast is technology developing these days. It is also interesting how users are tweaking and adjusting already available technologies in creative and unsuspecting ways.

Recently a group of developers have figured out Siri’s security protocols which enabled them to run Siri on a proxy server. Now another user has being able to connect a Siri proxy server with his Viper car system which is enabling him to start his car or turn it of with only Siri voice commands. This was made possible trough a Siri proxy plugin which connects with a script running on a server. This script enables users to send commands to the cars Viper module. The script can send a couple of commands to the car module including: start and stop vehicle, vehicle arm and disarm and a few more.

Siri hacking is quickly becoming popular. Will we see an avalanche of Siri hacks in the near future?
