Apple patents innovative new keyboard

It is incredible how much innovation can be created by a single company. Why is this so it is hard to say, but Apple is this day working so hard on so many projects that is even hard to mention all of them: iCloud, iOS upgrades, location tracking (project, bug or something else?) iPhone 5, iOS 5 etc. The list is really long and fascinating. So it doesn’t come as a surprise that Apple has also a list of small incremental innovations which they want to protect with different patents. One such example is a new and unique type of keyboard. This keyboard should be of low profile and what is most interesting is that its individual key tops will be perforated with tiny little holes so the user will feel a physical feedback coming from the air in the keyboard.

Amazon working on a new tablet?

Kindle tablet

When asked by an reporter from Consumer Reports if Amazon is developing a new tablet different from their worldwide successful ebook reader Kindle, Amazon’s CEO Jeff Bezos has answered without hesitation that customers should stay tuned to new developments coming from Amazon. This is quite unexpected for someone like Jeff Bezos who is as tight with his promises and speculations as Apple’s CEO Steve Jobs is with his hints on new Apple wonders. Recently a lot of online rumors are mentioning Amazon’s plans for expanding their Kindle line of devices. Earlier this year Amazon has offered job opening for programmers targeting mostly developers with impressive Android background. While the details of Amazon’s plans are not known, it seems that most of the pointers indicate that Amazon wants to develop some kind of Kindle tablet running Android OS.

Apple’s iPhone 3GS wanted more than Android devices

It is almost two years since Apple has launched its iPhone 3GS but the model is still more wanted than comparable Android smartphones according to various market reports. Even more: iPhone 3GS is sold better than just released Android phones. The same is true for Apple’s original iPad, as it is outselling just launched Android tablets. When taking into the consideration both Verizon and AT&T network, recent data shows that iPhone 3GS is more wanted by users than for example Android running HTC Inspire or Atrix by Motorola.

Not enough capacities for manufacturing iPhone and iPad 2?

Apple’s sales of iPhone 4 and iPad 2 are so high that it seems that its manufacturers based in China, the Foxconn corporation are not able to ship enough quantities of iPhones and iPads. It is reported that Foxconn plants in Chengdu, China have not enough labor not material needed for such a high output. Pressured to comment on the rumors the spokesperson of Foxconn reported that all capacities of the company are directed to satisfy rising demands for Apple products but he declined to respond directly on the shortage of manpower and hardware parts. The earthquake in Japan earlier this year, has also had an impact on this problem as some of the key components for Apple products are made in affected coastal region of Japan.

Manage images with Stampr

If you are like most f us, you’ll use your iPhone camera a lot. Either to take a funny, cool picture, or to upload a photo of your pet to Facebook or somewhere else. In any way you will probably have hundreds if not more photos scattered all over your files and folders. And when the time comes to sort your images you will have a helluva task to solve: every image you have will have to be renamed manually. That isn’t something you would wanna do in your free time isn’t it? Well, me neither. So here is a fix for this small yet potentially devastating problem: time stamping of all your pictures! This is already solved on most stand alone cameras, but iOS world is lagging behind in this area. But do not worry, there is a solution for all iPhone and iPad lovers out there: Stampr.
