Google against Apple, Map apps

Google maps for iOS

Google is again busy, this time they are trying to prevent Apple from getting too much from mapp apps. In a new effort Google has updated its HTML 5 Maps app for iOS and Android. So it seems that in order to prevent this, Google is doing similar to what they have done with their other services Gmail and Youtube, they have decide to build and launch their own version of the iOS app.
So when you decide to go to the maps.google.com on your iPhone or iPad you can use almost the same features available on your desktop computer.
