Iphone 5 comes with a fantastic 12.6 MP camera?

If you are like most of iPhone fans which eagerly wait for the release of the upcoming iPhone 5 you will be glad to hear this new rumor. Apple’s main camera supplier OmniVision which made the camera sensor in the back camera on iPhone 4 has made a new line of camera sensors sporting providing fantastic 12.6 MP. This sensor will also be able to record video at 1080p level of quality. The code name of the sensor is OV 12825 and it will be used in the new series of Apples smartphones.

Many ordinary users tend to compare iPhone and Android phones and while this is an interesting topic it should be worthwhile to understand that there is a significant difference and that comparing it in this way is comparing apples and oranges. As we wrote yesterday, thanks to Dev Team and i0n1c have provided us with an untethered jailbreak for latest Apple’s release of iOS 4.3.2. This jailbreak is applicable on all iOS devices with one exception: iPad 2.

Jailbreak instructions:

1. You will need to download the official Apple iOS firmware 4.2.3. You download it here: iOS 4.3.2 for iPhone 3GS and iOS 4.3.2 for iPhone 4 Upgrade your iTunes version to 10.2.2. This version is tested and safe for jailbreak and unlock as Dev Team announced recently. You can download RedSn0w (Mac) or RedSn0w (Windows).

Apple vs Samsung: stop copying our devices!

The battle of smartphones continue. One of the essential parts of the battle seems to be legal as companies in this market try to sue one another out of the market. The recent lawsuit that Apple wagged against Samsung is only the top of the iceberg. Apple has also recently sued Microsoft over the App Store name infringement. Also Amazon, HTC, Nokia are being sued. This time Apple claims that Samsung infringed their intellectual property rights, patents and trademarks including the look, user interface, packaging and other details. Apple says that Samsung has blatantly copied design of its devices iPhone and iPad with their Samsung Galaxy series of smartphones and tablets. Even the design of the icons is extremely similar and Apple is proving this with pictures of the Galaxy tablet home screen. Apple claims that this is pure copying of their products.

Apple releases iTunes 10.2.2

New iTunes version has just been rolled out by Apple. Apple announced that iTunes 10.2.2 will provide fixes for various bugs.

Here is list of some of the most important changes:
- Fix for the iPad synchronization bug.
- Fix for the slow image syncing on iPhone.
- Solution for video preview issues in iTunes Store.
- Other smaller security fixes and upgrades.

After the update was announced prominent members of the jailbreak development community have immediately tested the new version of iTunes and confirmed that it is safe for jailbreakers to upgrade. MusceNerd has stated in his twitter message that the upgrade is indeed safe for users with jailbreak and UltraSn0w unlock and even safe for users with the recent IMEI based unlock. RedSn0w 0.9.6rc14 untethered jailbreak just released by iPhone Dev Team!

Working really fast and efficiently Dev Team, the famous group of jailbreak developers has upgraded their jailbreaking tool for Windows and Mac. They have incorporated the untethered jailbreak exploit by i0n1c (aka Stefan Esser from Germany) in order to provide jailbreakers with a far more convenient untethered jailbreak. As you remember Apple has quickly upgraded the iOS after the release of the untethered jailbreak for iOS 4.3.1. But this time we have been lucky as Apple’s engineers didn’t patch the exploit found by i0n1c and now this exploit has was used to update this new version of the RedSn0w. Result of this is that we have a stable, untethered jailbreak tool. Good work Dev Team and i0n1c!
