Cydia on iOS 4.3.1 - some packages not working?

After the recent Apple iOS upgrade to version 4.3.1 and following the release of jailbreak tools like PwnageTool, RedSn0w and Sn0wBreeze some users had problems with apps on their iPhones and iPads. A number of apps crashed and it seems that the list of app which are not compatible with the upgrade is constantly growing. How to jailbreak iPhone 3GS with 4.3.1 firmware version with Pwnage Tool on Mac OS X

1. Make a new folder on the desktop of your Mac computer. Download Pwnage tool version 4.3 from here. Also download the iPhone 3GS 4.3.1 firmware from here. You should download the firmware file with Firefox browser as some other browsers like Safari usually rename the file deeming it unusable for restoring.

2. Click twice on the PwnageTool file to extract it and move it to your new desktop folder. Click on the Pwnage tool to fire up the software tool.

Redsn0w jailbreak for iPhone on iOS 4.3.1!

We are happy to announce: developers from the famous iPhone Dev Tem have finally released an untethered jailbreak for most recent Apple iOS 4.3.1 for windows RedSn0w version 0.9.6rc9 and Pwnage Tools version 4.3. Only jailbreak for iPad 2 is not supported at this moment.

Important! If you need to unlock with UltraSn0w do not use RedSn0w jailbreak! Using RedSn0w will upgrade your baseband which means that you wont be able to unlock your iPhone as new basebands cant be unlocked at this time.

iPhone 5 will feature 8MP camera

During a recent interview CEO of Sony, Mr. Howard Stringer has revealed an information regarding the upcoming iPhone 5. He said in the interview that the next iPhone model will have an 8 megapixel camera.

According to him the recent earthquake and tsunami tragedy in Japan has slowed down development in this area due to inability of the Sony sensor plant to function in the ravaged conditions.

Some of the most important plants of Sony are located in the coastal areas of Japan which were recently devastated by the earthquake. This could delay or in worst case even prevent Sony from delivering the shipment of the sensors to Apple.

Amazon cloud player

Seattle giant Amazon has just recently highlighted their new service, which is basically a “cloud” computing service serving individual users. The service is named “Cloud Drive” and “Cloud Player”.
This new service offers users to upload their digital content (music) to Amazons servers for online storage and retrieval. A user can upload and then stream his music to any device connected to internet including their desktop computer, notebook, smartphone, tablet or other.

Last year US courts have clarified the legality of jailbreak. Many jailbreakers have been exited and happy to see the court has judged the jailbreak to be a legal option. But so far this haven’t changed things much.
