UltraSn0w Unlock Gets Updated to Support iOS 4.3.1

Famous jailbreaking team, the iPhone Dev Team have just released the latest version of the unlocking software UltraSn0w. With this upgrade UltraSn0w has become compatible with the latest Apple iOS 4.3.1 but only for previously unlockable baseband versions.

In their statement they said that with this upgrade they have added compatibility layer for 4.3.1. They have noted that if your iPhone runs on previous iOS versions, you should be careful and update the iOS only through a custom made firmware which wont upgrade the baseband version. You can follow our guides in the blog archive on how to update your iPhone without upgrading the baseband.
So basically this is not a new unlock but instead it is an upgrade. It will allow all users who already have unlocked their devices to upgrade to iOS 4.3.1. With this upgrade some minor bugs are fixed like for example the signal bar problem.

New connector for Apple’s iOS devices

According to some reports Apple has submitted claims for a new patent on a different kind of connector which should be used on next generations of their iOS devices. This new model of connectors will enable USB 3, Display Port and Thunderbolt connections to function on iOS devices.
This should be enabled on all future iOS devices like the new iPad and iPhone models.
This new connector is probably already in testing and could go into full scale production later this year.
The patent also indicates that Apple could add USB 3 into future Mac computers or enable compatibility for Windows PC which already have the device. According to some analysts this patent could also indicate that designers and engineers in Apple ponder on adding Thunderbolt to their iOS products.
