Use this new app to identify incoming calls

IntelliID is an interesting new app coming from Intelliborn which is a well app development company. This time they have published an app that can help you protect yourself and your privacy by identifying anonymous callers on your iPhone. IntelliID will check your caller umber with a number of databases and will show you the name of the caller at the moment you receive the call! Because of the way it works you will have to pay a subscription fee for this service. Not surprisingly, IntelliID has a great level of integration with your lockscreen and your iPhone contact informations. If you use an CDMA (Verizon) iPhone you will have to be connected to your Wi-fi network. Additionally, Verizon caller ID is not currently available while AT&T is available for use. IntelliID will work on your iPhone with iOS firmware version 4.x up to iOS 5. When you first time install this ap you will have 10 free ID’s. You can download and install this app from Cydia App Store.

Jailbreak tweak: how to turn on LED flash or start the Camera on the lockscreen

We are pretty sure that Apple didn’t imagine using the LED flash on iPhone as a great auxiliary flashlight, but users and especially those jailbreak iPhone users have unexpected and innovative ideas and requirements. Bit if you want to use the flash as a flashlight you have to make a few steps every time you want to turn it on. And here is a tweak which enables yo uto do it quickly and efficiently. Flash Cam is a jailbreak tweak you can find in Cydia store if you add the Big Boss repo to you list of sources. After you install the tweak you’ll get two options on your iPhone’s lockscreen. One of those will enable you to start up your camera app and the other is for turning your LED flashlight on. SO instead of searching for the proper key in the dark alley, just fire up your iPhone 4 flashlight and you will quickly solve your problem. Nice, isn’t it?

Jailbreak tweak: how to add compass to your iOS maps

We wrote recently about an iOS map tweak which adds an speedometer to your maps app. And while this is not as precise as a real speedometer it can greatly improve your iOS map capabilities. Now the creator of Speed for Maps, jailbreak app developer Evan Colleman has released another map related tweak: Compass for Maps. Like Speedometer for Maps this is another simple tweak in your toolbox. When you install the tweak, a small compass will appear on your map showing you the exact direction you are moving to.

Jailbreak tweak: UploadEnabler for Mobile Safari

Here is another fabulous jailbreak tweak this time comng from less known app developers H. Samara and Bassen N. This tweak meddles with your Safari web browser and enables you to upload any kind of file with your iPhone or iPad browser. Uploading is for some reason by default disabled within Apple iOS which can be quite cumbersome if you need to download or upload some important file. Luckily if you jailbreak your iPhone with RedSn0w, PwnageTool or Sn0wbreeze, you can use UploadEnabler to help you uploading files to the web. It works for iPhone’s on iOS 4.2.1 and higher.

Cydia tweaks: CallBar notification system

Here is another tweak which was created thanks to Ryan Petrich’s awesome Tweak Week challenge. CallBack is a new tweak which improves the idea of iOS notifications for calls and other notifications. As many of you are already aware, standard iOS notification system was for a long time one of the weakest parts of iOS, and for long time such way for notifications lagged considerably behind better solutions on Android and WebOS devices. CallBar introduces what iOS 5 is preparing for in this area, a simple and a nonintrusive mean of receiving calls.
