The new iPhone iOS is just around the corner and this makes all people who need to unlock and jailbreak their devices eager wondering how soon will the jailbreak and unlock follow. As we learned until now the jailbreaks were quite fast, but this has not to be so. For example, for quite some time no unlock has been made for iPhone 4 with the new baseband 02.10.04 and 03.10.01.
A tweet from a iPhone jailbreak developer Sherif Hashim seems to confirm that the solution for this is quite close.
Unlock for iPhone 4 close?
Famous jailbreak developer Georg Hotz better known in the jailbreak world as Geohot denies that he has the unlock for iPhone 4 4.2.1 with baseband 03.10.01 and 02.10.04
He has confirmed this in his blog at geohotgotsued.blogspot.com
In an answer to his readers he said that he would wish to have the unlock, but the BB vulnerabilities have been closed by Apple, and because of this he is still using an iPhone 3GS instead.
There are also some rumours about a new unlock solution developed by him for the iPhone 4
Geohot is currently under pressure by Sony for jailbreaking their Play Station 3 gaming console. They are suing him for the jailbreak and alleged piracy. George has pointed that he seriously wants to be the first one hacking the upcoming Android based Sony Ericsson Xperia Play.
Geohot is also working on the jailbreak for Windows 7 smartphones.
On the other side the famous group known as iPhone Dev team has announced the new unlock solution for iPhone 4 with the baseband 03.10.01 and 02.10.04
They say this new unlock will be available shortly after Apple releases the new iOS version for iPhone, the iOS 4.3.

Wireless hotspot for iPhone 4.3
Recently launched Verizon iPhone 4 has a great new ability. It can work as a wireless hotspot connecting your other wireless devices (computers, gaming platforms etc.) to the Internet. With this you can connect another five to your carrier 3G network, just like a packet sized hand held router.
This was a smart marketing move by Verizon which tries to gain it’s ground against highly popular AT&T iPhone. But now it seems that AT&T is preparing a counter move, as we heard that AT&T wants to enable users with the future 4.3 firmware to have this same capability available. In fact AT&T has started providing this possibility for other smartphones since Febryary 13 fees for this plan are same as for tethering which is $20 monthly.

We have heard that this new iOS version brings new exciting abilities like turning your iPhone in a Wi-fi hotspot, increased media support with AirPlay and some other less interesting news.

Apple Said To Be Focussing On White For iPhone 5
Here’s something interesting about the upcoming and now apparently delayed iPhone 5 — Apple is focusing mostly on white models for this version. Sounds Apple going back to its original, pristine white designs.
According to a news piece in China’s Economic News Daily — Apple has chosen China’s Wintek to be the sole supplier for the touchscreens for the white iPhone 5 units. This contract, once it goes through, will enable Wintek to become the number one supplier of touchscreens in the entire world. Currently, this position is held by TPK Touch Solutions. And one of the reasons for this surge is reported to be Apple’s focus on white models for the iPhone 5.
iPhone 5 Might Be Delayed Till September This Year
There’s word on the market about the iPhone5 being delayed at launch. If Apple follows the usual cycle, then the new iPhone should arrive in sometime around June-July. However, the rumors go that there are component shortages in the market and that might lead to the iPhone 5 being launched some time in September instead.
Analyst Craig Berger of research firm FBR Capitalist Markets went on record saying that supply chains for many of the components are still waiting for proper orders. Many of the chip vendors are still waiting on Apple to place proper orders for the iPhone. A lot of other important components like camera sensors and others are also said to hit supply issues.
