Apple Said To Be Focussing On White For iPhone 5

Here’s something interesting about the upcoming and now apparently delayed iPhone 5 — Apple is focusing mostly on white models for this version. Sounds Apple going back to its original, pristine white designs.

According to a news piece in China’s Economic News Daily — Apple has chosen China’s Wintek to be the sole supplier for the touchscreens for the white iPhone 5 units. This contract, once it goes through, will enable Wintek to become the number one supplier of touchscreens in the entire world. Currently, this position is held by TPK Touch Solutions. And one of the reasons for this surge is reported to be Apple’s focus on white models for the iPhone 5.

Many of the chip vendors are still waiting on Apple to place proper orders for the iPhone. A lot of other important components like camera sensors and others are also said to hit supply issues.

Bug that Allows emoji to be Sent from AT&T iPhones to Verizon iPhones but not Vice Versa!

Word has been spreading that there’s the emergence of a strange bug this time. The bug apparently lets emoji to be sent over SMS from iPhones of AT&T to those of Verizon’s but not in the opposite direction of sending.

verizon-att-emoji

Well, then what happens when you text them from the Verizon to an AT&T? You get gibberish! But it seems, the problem where interpretation needs to happen for the emoji to appear properly is the message app’s fault. No problems have been reported from the AT&T phones no matter which carrier was used to send emoji to the AT&T! Please report any other bug in the comments section if you find them.

The usual iPhone pop up notifications for new events such as messages, calls and so on, was always under critic by users as sloppy and irritating. On the other side HP web OS notification system is often showcased for its simplicity and elegance, and it is getting even better as the latest improvements show.
