MuscleNerd to change team and go to Apple?

MuscleNerd, one of the main jailbreak developers and a prominent member of iPhone Dev Team @MuscleNerd has caused many rumors by visiting Apple in Cupertino, California. This seems to be a new trend among successful high tech companies worldwide as we have previously seen Facebook recruiting GeoHot and Comex joining Apple as an intern. Will this be the same with MuscleNerd? And can Apple and other big brands simply buyout best jailbreak developers and solve the headaches of jailbreaking with the power of  money? One thing is certain without such prolific hackers as  MuscleNerd, GeoHot and Comex, iPhone Dev Team and the whole jailbreaking community could become significantly crippled.

RedSn0w jailbreak to undergo a mayor upgrade

Dev Team is preparing a significant upgrade for RedSn0w jailbreaking tool. MuslceNerd who often speaks for iPhone Dev Team said that one of the new features will be that users  wont  need to manually select the iOS firmware file, another great feature will be the possibility to easily save the always important SHSH blobs with Cydia. New RedSn0w should be seeded  before next Monday.

RedSn0w will be able to automatically get the requested files from Apple’s servers, and even better, it will store necessary files on your computer so you wont need to download it every time you need them.  This doesn’t include iOS beta version as you will need to get them manually.

If you are a regular reader on our blog you will probable know that Apple is planning to launch iOS 5 together with the new iPhone 5 in a couple of weeks. And after more than a month without any jailbreak rumors, now there are some news about the untethered jailbreak for the new iOS version.

Stefan Esser who is in the iOS jailbreak world much better known as  I0n1c is one of the biggest names in jailbreaking world. He is the one who has solely developed untethered jailbreak for iOS 4.3.1 and one of the people we can thank for the first iPad 2 jailbreak. RedSn0w upgraded,Dev Team’s jailbreak now works on iOS 5 beta 7

iPhone Dev Team has again made our day! This time they have released an upgraded version of RedSn0w, one of the best jailbreaking apps available today which is able to easily jailbreak Apple’s latest version of iOS 5 b7. Apple is working at full speed and only a couple of days ago they have seeded iOS 5 beta 6 and now they have again upgraded iOS 5 in order to prepare everything for the final launch which should be this month.

New Sn0wBreeze version released, Windows PC based jailbreak for iOS 5 beta 7 now possible!

We already have a jailbreak for iOS 5 beta 7 which was pushed out by Apple only a couple of days ago, but if you need a carrier unlock you should stay away from RedSn0w. So to solve this  iH8sn0w has updated his own jailbreaking software Sn0wbreeze to version 2.8 beta 7 and it is an Windows only application. So if you are a Mac user this wont help you at all.  Sn0wbreeze is great because it can preserve you current baseband firmware, which is really important if you need to carrier unlock your device.  You can also hacktivate your iPhone 4 or iPhone 3GS if you don’t have an officially supported Sim Card. After you jailbreak you can also use an Gevey Sim card interposer for the final unlocking or you can use UltraSn0w unlock solution.

Will Comex change sides?

One of the best and most productive jailbreak developers known as @Comex is apparently being recruited by Apple. Is this an end to JailbreakMe? Nobody knows for sure but what we know at this moment is that Comex will soon join the rank’s Apple as an humble intern. This was announced by Comex himself. His real name is Nicholas Allegra, and he shared this info on his Twitter stream.

Dev Team develops jailbreak for iOS 5 beta 6

iPhone Dev Team strikes again! This time they have launched the RedSnow jailbreak for latest beta version of iOS 5 which is version 6.0. It seems that Redsn0w is able to jailbreak all recent firmware upgrades from Apple, although all versions of iOS 5 jailbreak are only tethered,which could be one of the reasons Apple isn’t bothered too much about this.
