iOS 5.0.2 Coming soon featuring battery bug fix and Siri upgrade

iOS 5.0.2 logo

According to latest rumors, Apple is working hard to finish the next iOS upgrade, and according to this rumor it could become available already during next week. This upgrade could finally solve the infamous battery drain issue and it could also introduce a set of new upgrades for Siri, which is now a core element of iOS for new iPhones. Siri could be used as a hardware controlling system so you could take a picture or turn on your Wi-fi connection with Siri only. If this iOS upgrade really hits the market next week, it could become one of the fastest released upgrades so far. And while this is good from the standpoint that it solves some problems, a hurried release usually includes a number previously unknown bugs. Especially so since no beta version of iOS 5.0.2 was made available to Apple developers community, which is another usual procedure for Apple.

Beyond this quick fix, Apple is apparently silently working on the next mayor release of iOS which should be the iOS version 5.1 and this update could be launched earliest at the beginning of 2012. With this update Apple will probably launch completely new Siri functions including voice recognition for additional languages, better maps and localised search options for other countries.

Of course everything mentioned here are rumors only and not verified informations so you should take it with a grain of salt. But as things are right now, solving the above mentioned issues like battery drain is certainly a pressing issue for Apple, so we wont be surprised if we indeed see a new iOS upgrade this month. What do you think? Do you expect a new firmware version next week? We are interested to hear your opinion.
