Battery problem still not solved

iPhone 4S battery issue

Although latest iOS firmware 5 offered many new improvements and cool features, it seems that it also introduced a number of problems for users. In fact the same new powerful features could be the cause for fast iPhone battery draining. Whenever your iPhone connects to the iCloud it will need to locate your position and use the data connection. This didn’t happen so quickly with iPhone 4 and iPhone 3GS on older iOS 4. In order to solve this problem Apple has pushed out the 5.0.1 upgrade. Unfortunately, it seems that the problem persist for many users despite upgrading their devices to the new firmware. Not suprisingly, many iPhone users are still complaining on Apple help forums about the battery drain still happening on their devices despite the 5.0.1 upgrade.

Apple has confirmed in a statement that they are aware of the fact that some users still have the same issue and that the company is working around the clock to locate and solve the problem.

Here are some tips and tricks to lower the battery drain:

Remove energy intensive apps like Find my Friends.
Dim the iPhone display. The brighter it is the more energy will be wasted.
Check your push notifications and disable those which aren’t important to you.

We really hope Apple will solve this issue soon, perhaps with the next firmware upgrade. If you update your device over the air do not forget to charge your iPhone battery before you proceed! Let us know have you encountered the battery draining issue on iOS 5.0 or even on iOS 5.0.1.
