iCloud introduces “Drop Box” like syncing for Mac users

Drop Box like iCloud docs sharing

It seems that iCloud will enable “Drop Box” like document sharing for Mobile Documents. Short exploration of / Library directory reveals that it contains a Mobile Documents folder . This folder will be probably used for syncing your documents created with iWork. Another great news is that this wont be restricted to iWorks docs anymore, especially if you need to access files only across your Mac computers.

If you use iCloud and enable Documents and data within your preferences, you can browse to /Library/Mobile Documents folder. If you have used iWork and consequently synced your files to iCLoud you can locate folders for all iWork apps. Most importantly, any document you copy to /Library/Mobile Documents will be uploaded to iCloud and available on your other Mac computers which are using the same iCloud credentials and have the same iCloud preferences enabled. OS X Lion will even go so far as to inform you on any problems with document versions allowing you to solve the issue when you edit the document. You can make things easier for you if you create an alias of this folder on your desktop, just be sure not to delete any existing data file in this folder because such action could disable your iCloud functionality.
