New iTunes version 10.5 for Mac and Windows available for download

iTunes 10.5

Apple has released the latest version of their superb iTunes software, which is a requisite for all iPhone and iPad users which want to upgrade to iOS 5. Since all elements of Apple’s diverse ecosystem are tightly connected iOS 5, iTunes 10.5 and the latest iPhone 4S model have been pushed out almost at the same time. Another hallmark of this upgrade for Apple is off course the long awaited iCloud service. iCloud enables users to store their data and content and access all of it on any iOS device. It remains to be seen how will iPhone and iPad users react to this new concept. If success of Google documents, Gmail and other cloud services indicates anything, iCloud could be a full scale success for Apple, especially given their traditional strive for absolute quality and constant innovation in all areas. Another great option is the ability to upgrade and sync your device with a wireless connection.

Here are some new features as presented by Apple:

iTunes goes to cloud. Store your music and video into the iCloud and use it on any device including iPhone, iPad and iPod Touch as well as on your computer.

Wi-fi syncing for your iOS devices in now possible. You can automatically sync your device whenever connected to a wireless network.

It is highly recommended to all users to upgrade their iTunes. To get here Apple has cycled through as many as nine testing versions of the software, so it is remarkably stable and thoroughly checked for bugs. If you want to jump to iOS 5 you need to upgrade your iTunes first. To get new iTunes please launch your current iTunes version and you will be prompted to upgrade. You can also download the software directly from Apple’s servers.
