Facebook ready for launching their official iPad app.

Facebook is working on final testing of their long awaited iPad app and it should soon become available to iPad users. It is not quite clear why it took almost a year since the original iPad was launched for the first time for Mark Zuckerberg and his team to release their app. Apparently according to an unnamed source in the company, they wanted to carefully tailor their product in order to squeeze as much quality and excellence in the UI sphere as possible. Obviously the main goal was to adjust Facebook app to suit well to the touch screen possibilities as well as the mobility of iPad coupled with its photo taking capabilities. Another task for their designers and engineers was complete redesign of the chat options and Facebook groups. The source revealed that the app will differ from the Facebook website and that it will make available full screen images at high resolution. In our opinion this feature alone would be worth enough to get the app.

Google maps for iOS

We already know that iOS has built in mapp app which also uses Google powered maps as its source, but it appears that Apple isn’t upgrading their mapp app too eagerly. So it seems that in order to prevent this, Google is doing similar to what they have done with their other services Gmail and Youtube, they have decide to build and launch their own version of the iOS app.
So when you decide to go to the maps.google.com on your iPhone or iPad you can use almost the same features available on your desktop computer.
