Pool Party - a new iPhone app for sharing images by Google
Google just launched it latest product stright inot the iOS market. This product was designed by people previously working for Slide, a small startup recently bought by Google. At the time being it is per invitation as it is still in testing phase. With this app you can share your photos with your circle of friends which use this app. It is not clear why exactly Google is offering multiple image sharing platforms, as Picasa and Google + are already doing the same thing. Perhaps Google releases several projects at the same time so users can choose the best one, in a kind of evolutionary struggle between apps?

Google + is a new product for social networking which should according to the Search Engine Giant outperform and outsmart currently the number on in the social networking: Facebook. The main future of Google + which should make it distinctively better than Facebook are so called “circles”.
Fring releases ipad app
Fringe has just released its app for iPad. Fring is interesting for ipad users as it has video calling which something most iPad users will want to have available on their devices. Even more so since this is the first free video calling app available on iPad. As we have written earlier, Skype is still testing its iPad app and Fring is probably trying capitalize on this fact with this early app release.
iPhone health apps: Skin scan
Apple’s iPhone is stubbornly breaking into different areas of life, and App Store sells more and more earlier impossible to have apps. This time here is another potentially great app. Scin Scan is made to help you protect your health from real risks. While it wont completely replace your dermatologists careful examinations it could improve and point to potential dangers.
How does this work? Simply: you take pictures of moles on your skin and the app will measure its size. When measured, apps algorithm will calculate the possibility for development of melanom. This health app was created by Victor Anastasiu and a team of developers. Beside iOS developers, Mr. Anastasiu also included in his team two mathematicians and a couple of dermatologists. Anastasiu and his team have gathered more than $70,000 in funding.

Nobody is sure what happened really with this video as it was uploaded and then removed. Luckily for us, it seems that somebody downloaded the video and later shared it with the Youtube audience. If this is indeed a new version of Skype for iPad it really looks splendid as you can see for yourself in the video bellow. Video calls, Wi-Fi or 3G based calling, whole screen video, impressive graphic resolution, clean user interface and so on. Seems that this time they have made it fabulously, just as the iPad platform deserves. Who knows perhaps Microsoft with their recent purchase of Skype is pushing its boundaries in an effort to make a strong intrusion into Apple dominated world of iPad apps?

New York Post inaccessible only for iPad users
New York post has locked its online edition. Curiously, this decision appears to affect only iPad users as users on desktop computers and non iOS tablets are still able to access New York Post’s content freely.
