Find jailbreak developers and their jailbreak apps

cydia developers directory

If you have jailbroken your iPhone or iPad you have probably searched for apps on Cydia many times. For those of our readers not knowing what Cydia really is, it could be explained easily: Cydia is an app store for iOS devices not controlled by Apple. It is available for all iPhone, iPad and iPod Touch users for a couple of years already, so it is certainly a safe and time tested concept. Cydia has been considerably improved since the day it was launched. Still there is one area where Cydia does not excel: its search function. After you tap on Cydia icon it will show you a large number of categories and subcategories. No matter if you have a lot of time to spare to hunt for good apps, to find what you need can quickly become a real nightmare. But the problem is the number of tweaks apps and other goodies is increasing at a fast pace. Add to this the fact that you can have different repositories available in your Cydia and you have a complete data mess waiting to happen.

This mess needs to be controlled in some way and here is why Cydia Developer Directory was started. The directory was created by users on Modmyi forums and it contains most jailbreak developers and a list of their famous jailbreak apps and tweaks. This directory contains developers names as well as their free apps.

It seems that conditions for subscribing to this directory is not as easy as it sounds, and this should project maintainers to keep the list of developers clear and easilly accessible. If you are a developer do not hesitate to register with this directory as it can enable you to make more and better contacts. ModMiy will carefully guard the directory in order to prevent it from being spammed. Every app submission will be thoroughly examined. Believe it or not there are even some apps which wont bee accepted in the directory like buggy apps, apps promoting illegal behaviour and so on.

This project is a serious task with the intention to organize the jailbreak community in a much better way than what we see nowadays.
