Network carriers already testing iPhone 5
Despite many rumors lately claim that iPhone 5 launching will be postponed until October, prominent UK news outlet, The Guardian, has published a story on the issue claiming that the launch is still being planned for September.
Reporter who wrote this article, Charles Arthur has questioned the reliability of sources which leaked the supposed postponement of iPhone 5 launch. Most important detail which support his view is that iPhone 5 is already being in the field by officially supported network carriers.
Apple goes against Samsung, complaints sent to ITC
Apple has recently succeed in getting attention from International Trade Commission with their patent infringement law suit versus South Korean consumer electronics manufacturer Samsung. International Trade Commission can easily deny importation of consumer products which were judged to be connected with patent rights violations. But despite being capable of stopping imports of disputable products, ITC in the past didn’t act too often on this ground. Usually the threat of sanctions alone was sufficient to pressure companies into negotiations and this was in many cases followed by million s of dollars in patent fees payments.
iPhone 5 copies appear in Shenzhen,China!
And while this certainly isn’t something which could be reliable as a clue for what will iPhone 5 offer in the near future, Chinese copycat iPhone 5 can be seen as a glimpse of a possible iPhone 5 design. With a big pinch of salt of course! These copies have slightly curved back side, reminding on iPhone 3GS design but a thinner body, bigger display and enlarged home button. This fake device is 7 mm thick, features Wi-fi connection, two cameras supported by a LED flash and amazingly and somewhat hard to believe 64GB of storage space. Or at least that is what they claim.
Apple launches iCloud.com, for developers only!
Apple has just released its long awaited iCloud, a multimedia backup and streaming service. And indeed, it offers all you will ever want from such a service in a always recognizable Apple way. It will offer you web apps like what we see with Google apps and more like: Calendar, Mail, Contacts, iWork and so on. FindMyiPhone becomes a web app too!
Skype releases iPad app and afterwards quickly pulls it back
After a long wait Skype, now working in Microsoft’s hug has released it’s long time awaited iPad app, but only to remove it after a couple of hours.
Skype, which is one of the most used apps for IM and voice chatting on the Internet has for a long time being available for Mac, Windows and even Linux computers. It is also available for various mobile platforms and now we will probably soon have it on our iPad tablets.
