How to use flash on your jailbroken iPhone or iPad - Frash for iOS

AS most of us probably knows Apple has banned Flash from all of their products supposedly for technical reasons, safety battery life and so on. And I am sure Steve Jobs has some good points regarding this but on the other side so much stuff is already available on the Internet through Flash that sometimes simply I would like to be able to use this, no matter what Mr. Jobs says.

So here it goes using flash is possible if you didn’t know. You will of course have to jailbreak your iPhone before you get your hands on this app called Frash (mind you not Flash but Frash).

iPhone video on HDTV with AirVideoEnabler Cydia app

Would you like to watch videos from your iPhone or iPad on your Apple TV?

As we have written before you can do so with the new iOS 4.3 with AirPlay. But downside of this is that AirPlay will work only with certain apps like Youtube app. But recently some developers have demonstrated their abilty to stream different videos from iPhone to the Apple TV. They claim that it was enough to change a single line of code to make this possible.

TinyUmbrella for iOS 4.3 released - save SHSH blobs for iPad2 and iPhone on 4.3

Apple has as most of you know released the new iOS version 4.3 for iPad 2, iPhone 4 and iPhone 3GS iPod Touch and Apple TV 2g. Unfortunately to many users, Apple wont support new iOS versions for iPhone 3G any more.

Hacking and jailbreaking community is working hard to provide new jailbreak and unlocking tools for all iDevices out there so it comes as no surprise that some great tools are being upgraded by their developers. So the developer known as Semaphore has released the last version of the famous Tiny Umbrella software. The primary goal of this tool is to enable users to save SHSH blobs for their particular device including SHSH blobs for their brand new iPad 2 device. You can read more about SHSH blobs and why they are so important in our blog archives.

As son as Apple releases some new product a bunch of geeks run to get them in order to fully disassemble it in order to learn what is inside and what components does it use. iPhone 4 unlock for baseband 02.10.04 and 03.10.01

We have all been quite unhappy when we heard about the last iPhone Dev Team announcement. The announcement was on the unlock for iPhone 4 with upgraded baseband. Dev Team members are still working on the unlock solution for this problem employing some new methods. One of the core embers of the iPhone Dev Team, MuscleNerd has said that the team is working on a brute force hack of the iPhone 4 and this should be finished by the end of next week. If they succeed this will be used to finally unlock the iPhone with baseband versions 02.10.04 and 03.10.01.

iPhone clock bug, once more

You think your iPhone is perfect and doesn’t have any bugs?

Well, think again. If you check your iPhone clock you might be surprised. It seems that something as simple as adjusting daylight saving time can cause your iPhone clock hickup and your alarm clock not working properly. As we have heard many complaints have already been sent to both AT&T and Verizon as both devices have exactly the same problem. The iPhone clock has instead of moving forward gone backward for an hour.

So instead of completely relying on your iPhone for alarm, perhaps you should have an old fashioned alarm clock.

iPad 2 iOS 4.3 jailbreak saga continues

Finally we see some real results by the jailbreak developer community. Here is a picture of a jailbroken iPad2 posted by a jailbreak developer chpwn to his Twitter feed where he gives credit to another jailbreaker @comex. The picture clearly shows an iPad 2 so it by necessity runs iOS 4.3

As we wrote previously yet another jailbreaker know as @i0n1c has some kind of a jailbreak for 4.3 firmware but he is still working on some kernel issues before it is ready for public use. Nobody doesn’t know will comex release his jailbreak before or after i0n1c releases his own version. It is also not known will this new jailbreak work for for other iDevices like the iPhone 4 or also on other Apple products. Will it be tethered or untethered?

Untethered jailbrake for iPhone 4.3 beta version

Another jailbreaker has created a jailbreak immediately after the 4.3 firmware has being released. That was incredibly fast in our opinion. His name is Stefan Esser and his twitter account is @i0n1c.

Here is Stefans tweet announcing his jailbreak.

This developer was one mentioned earlier for possibly having a jailbreak for this new iOS 4.3 version. The jailbreak is untethered which is much better than tethered jailbreak as we all know.

Reminder: RedSn0w for example which was one of the main jailbreak tools for iOS 4.2.1 was a tethered jailbreak. This means that when you reboot your iPhone for any reason you have to jailbreak it again, which is not a big issue but can become boring sometimes.
