When will Apple release iPhone 5 and iOS 5 ?

Apple’s new version of iOS will probably be not available before the fall. But on the other side this surely wont delay traditional release of new iPhone model every summer. Some analysts even claim that a new iPad would be available next fall.

Until now Apple had usually presented their new iOS during early spring in order to give software developers enough time to work on their apps and prepare them for the iOS launch in summer. So far Apple has not followed this pattern and there are no reliable news about iOS 5 so far.

Apple working on Smart TV?

Apple is bussuly working on iPhone 5 and iOS upgrades but it has also interests in developing other kinds of platforms. Is it ppossible Apple want to make a new “smart” TV?

Some analysts from Morgan Stanley think so. According to unnamed sources in China Apple is developing plans for a model of Smart TV. Apple obviously thinks such kind of device could easily be as revolutionary as the iPhone and iPad itself and that it would create completely new markets, like what they did recently with their iPad tablet.

Cydia 1.1 available for jailbroken iPhones

Saurik aka Jay Freeman has updated his Cydia app and now the latest version is Cydia 1.1. It is nicely packed up and offers some great improvements. Saurik and his team have worked hard on the app for months and he included many suggestions made by users. There are many different new features included in new Cydia. Along with user interface improvements, higher speed and better searching capabilities.
Saurik said in his tweet that new Cydia is slimmer, faster and it has better search algorithm.

Apple has just released th 4.3.1 iOS update. This update is made for iPhone, iPad and iPod Touch and as we previously wrote it is mainly a bug solving upgrade. How can you upgrade if you cant wait to do so? Quite easy, just fire up your iTunes ( check that it is upgraded to latest version itself) then click Check Updates and you are done!

So this update is unfortunately not eligible for iPhone 3G as its hardware would be to slow for this iOS version (many users claim so since after the introduction of 4.x iOS). It also isn’t meant for Verizon iPhone 4.
