Apple releases iTunes 10.2.2
New iTunes version has just been rolled out by Apple. Apple announced that iTunes 10.2.2 will provide fixes for various bugs.
Here is list of some of the most important changes:
- Fix for the iPad synchronization bug.
- Fix for the slow image syncing on iPhone.
- Solution for video preview issues in iTunes Store.
- Other smaller security fixes and upgrades.
After the update was announced prominent members of the jailbreak development community have immediately tested the new version of iTunes and confirmed that it is safe for jailbreakers to upgrade. MusceNerd has stated in his twitter message that the upgrade is indeed safe for users with jailbreak and UltraSn0w unlock and even safe for users with the recent IMEI based unlock. Here is his tweet.
Jailbreak your iPhone iOS 4.3.2 with RedSn0w jailbreak!
Apple has just released the new release of the iOS for almost all devices. The new iOS version is 4.3.2 and is available for iPhone, iPad and iPod. But as always jailbreakers are as as fast as Apple. It turns out that the RedSn0w jailbreak tool can again jailbreak the new version of iOS but so far only in tethered mode (this means that you must reboot with your computer every time you restart your iPhone in order to enter it into the jailbreak state). Apple has released iOS upgrade 4.3.2 for iPhone, iPad and iPod
Apple has just released its new iOS upgrade version 4.3.2 for all devices and iOS version 4.2.7 for Verizon devices. These devices can be upgraded to the new firmware: iPhone 3GS, iPhone 4, iPad2, and iPod Touch. What does this new updeate bring to users? iOS 4.3.2 will fix FaceTime bugs and also Wi-Fi and 3G connectivity problems. CDMA iPhone 4 (Verizon iPhone) gets the firmware iOS 4.2.7. Please do not update yet if you care about the jailbreak and the carrier unlock.
Cydia on iOS 4.3.1 - some packages not working?
After the recent Apple iOS upgrade to version 4.3.1 and following the release of jailbreak tools like PwnageTool, RedSn0w and Sn0wBreeze some users had problems with apps on their iPhones and iPads. A number of apps crashed and it seems that the list of app which are not compatible with the upgrade is constantly growing. So far it seems that users using apps relying on software packages like Action Menu and Backgrounder should not upgrade iOS until this is solved.

iOS 4.3.1 coming in April?
We have heard rumors coming from Apple that the Cupertino, California giant is busily preparing the release of the iOS 4.3.1 upgrade. This is expected to be released in the first week of April. The reason for the upgrade among others are to patch up the jailbreak exploits especially the jailbreak for iPad 2 seems troublesome for Apple. They also want to upgrade the baseband for Apple 3GS and the original iPad as this seemed to be a good way to prevent the unlock for those devices.
