iPhone 4S unlock close, do not update to 5.0.1 firmware!

Many rumors are claiming that it is necessary to update iOS version if you want to jailbreak as the jailbreak for iOS 5.0.1 is close, according to reports from various jailbreak developers. Untethered Jailbreak for iPhone 4S video

It looks like the long awaited, untethered jailbreak for iPhone 4S and probably iPad 2 is around the corner. The developer who has made the breaktrough is of course Pod2G, the same jailbreak developer which responsible for the iOS 5 untethered jailbreak for iPhone and iPad. He has just published a short video which shows iPhone 4S with a working, untethered jailbreak, and Cydia installed on iOS 5.0.1.
He said in a comment that he and his buddy @DHowett made this video. @Dhowett also happens to be a iOS jailbreak dev and a member of the famous Chronic Dev Team group.

You need to update your iOS version to iOS 5.0.1 in order to save SHSH blobs which are essential if you intend to get an untethered jailbreak for your iPhone.

iPhone 4S coming to Vietnam

Two months ago newspapers In Vietnam reported about the upcoming release of iPhone 4S in this South East Asian country. And now, Vietnamese language daily Thanh Nien News has confirmed these rumors, as Apple is indeed planing to launch iPhone 4S in Vietnam by the end of the week. Both major Vietnamese network carriers have announced the iPhone 4S earlier this week.

Same as in similar cases, user will have to pay much higher price for their devices than what it costs users in US. Users will have to pay as much as $740 for iPhone 4S with VinaPhone, and the price for the same device on Viettel will be $780.

Samsung’s iPhone 4S ban requests denied in France

French court has just denied Samsung’s injunction request against Apple’s iPhone 4S on the French market. This legal battle has being waged across the world since two companies started disputes over patent issues a couple of months ago. The essence of Samsung’s legal demands were deemed too weak for the drastic measures of iPhone 4S sales ban, which was proposed to the court by legal representatives of the South Korean company. Court has ordered Samsung to pay more than €100,000 for Apple’s legal fees, which is probably much less than what Cupertino company actually spent during this process.

iPhone 4S launch in Russia imminent

Apple will launch iPhone 4S in Russia on December 16th. With the pre orders already available for Russian customers at some retail stores. Siri is at the time not available for Russian language but nonetheless, Russians who speak some other language like English,German or French will be able to use Siri at their will as soon as they get their new devices. South Korean electronics giant takes another jab at Apple, this time aiming at the famous Apple fan culture.
