iFaith for downgrading your iOS version back to iOS 5.0

While we are still waiting for a promised untethered jailbreak for iOS 5 which could be released in the near future as @MuslceNerd and @Pod2g have recently announced, you should be aware of the fact that the jailbreak will work only for iOS 5.0. This means that if you have already upgraded to iOS 5.0.1 you’ll be out of lack as this jailbreak is iOS 5.0.compatible only.

With older iOS firmware versions, you could always go back to iOS 4.0, but after Apple released iOS 5.0, they have redesigned the process, and now if you have gone to iOS 5.0.1 you wont be able to simply restore back to iOS 5.0. But as always, if you cant beat them, you certainly can always jailbreak them!

iPhone 5 battery drain bug still not solved with iOS 5.0.1

Apple is working really hard to clear out the problem which is known as the iOS 5 battery drain bug. The bug is causing unexplainable levels of energy loss in iPhonećs running on iOS 5. As a quick antidote, Cupertino has seeded iOS 5.0.1 which should have cleared out this problem. But after only a day or two it became clear that Apple still didn’t squash this bug. So Apple’s problems are continuing and they have now released the beta version of iOS 5.1 to certified Apple developers, which offered a number of new solutions which should prevent the fast battery drain. Unfortunately, it seems that the whole embarrassing situation is repeating itself. No matter the upgraded iOS version, developers are reporting that iPhone batteries are still being drained at an unacceptable level.

Kindle Fire, the best competitor to iPad

The only tablet that comes relatively close to Apple iPad is the recently launched Kindle Fire, made by Amazon. But according to this research done by market analysts in iSuppli probing the market demand for this quarter, it seems that the Amazon’s Fire is already having slight sales numbers decline. So no matter the formidable competition by Amazon, Apple iPad still has a large advantage when it comes to tablet sales numbers. Cupertino has already shipped more than 18.5 million of tablets in this quarter only. Although Amazon’s new Kindle Fire product is the second best tablet out there, Amazon has netted only 3.9 million sales during the same quarter.
